ACADEMY

HOLISTIC TRAINING DESIGNED TO ACCELERATE PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

OUR MISSION

My Lax Academy (MLA) was established in 2021 by Coach Kai Libby. Its mission is to develop youth athletes into competitive and confident adolescents through the sport of lacrosse.

Our program provides excellent team opportunities, as well as strength and skill training. MLA athletes thrive as they embrace disciplined fitness habits including nutrition, recovery and mental health.

Our approach to player development takes a holistic perspective encompassing the total athletic experience. The outcome is emerging leaders in sport, academics and life. The players’ experience in MLA takes them on their own personal journey of playing in a community that values character, respect, and responsibility.

        Philosophy

        S.A.G.A

        Skills

We want our players to confidently perform no matter the competition. We teach the fundamental skills they need to become dynamic and dangerous… then teach them a few more to ensure the competition is always two steps behind.

        Athleticism

It’s no longer just about skill. To reach the highest caliber our players need to be some of the most powerful players on the field. We focus heavily on developing players physical abilities so that they can perform at their maximum potential.

        GAME IQ

Our players are highly encouraged to be students of the game. Our coaches constantly focus on the strategy behind various movements and plays. Additionally, we provide materials for players to study outside of trainings.

        ATTITUDE

It’s the guy every coach wants and every player wants to play with. Leadership, discipline, effort, focus, camaraderie, these character traits are nurtured on our teams. We are lacrosse coaches in the industry of building young men.
